Destinations

The dynamics of modern Jewish life are very different than they were for our parents or grandparents and many families do not belong to synagogues.  Email me at rabbi@RabbiTobi.com to learn how you can have a meaningful Bar or Bat Mitzvah even without traditional congregational membership.  I will work with your family to arrange private lessons, tutoring, and I am available for travel for destination observances.

One option is that in the heart of western Sullivan County is a historic and still active Reform congregation, who meet in this 100 year old building for monthly services.  We can arrange private use of this synagogue for a destination Bar or Bat Mitzvah, where your child can read from Torah in a sanctuary and not in a secular event space.
